I want to photograph your experience of the day, not just the part where you officially get married.
More than a wedding day
For select Japan elopements, I can also help with the pieces that come before the photographs—finding a place that feels right, choosing where to stay, connecting with local vendors, and shaping an experience that leaves room to wander.
You might spend the morning getting ready at a small ryokan, take a train somewhere you've never been, stop for lunch, wander through a neighborhood, and end the day somewhere completely unexpected.
There doesn't have to be a perfect itinerary.
However you decide to enjoy the experience of Japan, I will be there to photograph your journey.
You don't need to have it all figured out.
Places I want to photograph
I'm drawn to relaxed countryside, coastlines, old neighborhoods, small towns, quiet inns, and the everyday details that make one place feel completely different yet familiar. I like places where I feel quiet, relaxing, yet exciting that reminds me of the studio Ghibli (Totoro, Kiki’s delivery service, Ponyo, etc).

Japan has always been an important part of how I see and make photographs, and I'm excited to bring that perspective into The Style Eclectic.
The Japan elopement experience is still a developing part of this business. I'm currently connecting with venues and local creatives in Japan to build something thoughtful for couples traveling from abroad.
