Recently, I was asked what I wear for working out after work. According to my friend, a workout outfit is one of the hardest outfits to put together, especially when he needs to change before he gets to his gym. He does not want to walk to gym with his basketball shorts and his old T-shirt (totally understandable if you need to walk through downtown).
So, I thought about what I would wear if I needed to have my workout outfit on and go to coffee or something before getting to my gym.
If I need to wear workout outfit for anything else before or after the gym, here are 3 simple steps that I follow:
1: A light jacket that stands out a little.
2: Right-sized sweatpants.
3: A big non-gym bag that can hold my work stuff (you are going to have to put your work outfit in here which requires a huge space for the most cases).
I think the key here is to make sure that your outfit fits, and to have key pieces that are not too "workout" looking. (In my case, the jacket and bag) Having pieces like that ensures that your outfit is a cross between workout and casual.
Anyways, I hope this was helpful to my friend! Have a fantastic day everyone. :)
