Wildlife Safari

Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to get out of life. I’m lucky enough that I was able to come to a different country from where I grew up, and have had the opportunity to work for one of the biggest companies in the world. I couldn’t have imagined life would take me here when I was 20 yrs old. However, now I feel like I’m at the point where I need to make a decision for my career path based on what I want from my life. I’m finding myself having to choose between things like working late and climbing “the ladder” in a big corporation or making financial sacrifices to have a chance to experience more of this world by traveling around. While I was thinking about this, I thought about coming to see the wildlife (well..kinda), and see something different. So here I am at the Wildlife Safari in Oregon!

Nobody can tell what will happen in the future, and because of that, we all have to make tough decisions that could change the course of life completely. I guess that’s the part of everybody’s life that makes each moment meaningful.

First Comicon in Eugene

Eugene had its first Comicon in November 2015! I went to enjoy the fun events and amazing cosplays (and support a new local event of course). I was so impressed with everyone’s costumes – from funny to serious, babies to adults, and low-budget to professional. Next year I’m totally dressing up! I haven’t decided what to go as, though, so if you have any ideas throw them my way!!

Early Spring Days

We had an unseasonably warm day here today. It was amazing, and I was ready to get out my summer wardrobe! (Later on it rained like crazy though, so good thing I made it home before that.) I went with a simple outfit, since sunny days always bring out my laid-back side. It’s fun to be monochromatic but add interesting details like the jogger-style pinstripe pants and shiny messenger bag. By the way, the last picture is of a delicious food cart – I love eating outside in the sunshine!

Fun Activity – Motorcycle

I got my motorcycle license this year and have been having so much fun on my bike ever since! I used to ride a motorcycle in Japan, but got into an accident and stopped for a long time. When I finally decided to get my license here in the U.S., I was surprised how easy it was. (Getting the license, not necessarily driving the motorcycle, although I remembered how eventually.) I didn’t really think I’d ride a bike again, but I decided to take a calculated risk. I wanted to enjoy riding again, even if it can be dangerous, knowing that to me the risk is worth the reward. I have been having such a great time taking my little bike all over town and out for country rides. It’s such a great way to see our beautiful state, and it feels so free! But definitely, at all times, wear a helmet!!

When choosing my biking gear, I did a lot of research on safety features. Of course, I wanted it all to be fashionable too! I got a lot of fun things online (like my helmet/goggles), and also found a great local store with nice gear and super friendly service. I’m still always on the hunt for good bike gear, so let me know if you have any suggestions!

Back to College For a Day

Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted an outfit here! I’m so sorry for the absence – life has been a little crazy (in a good way!), and it’s been hard to squeeze in time for photo shooting. But I’ve missed all of you so much I knew it was time to get another post in!

Anyways, for this post I went back to college to pretend to be a student for a day. 🙂 Well, really I just wanted to wear a kind of professor-chic look. I added this vest to the outfit to make it look a little more professional and elevate it beyond a purely casual outfit. It’s amazing how the little details can make a big difference in an outfit.

It was SO fun to get out there again, and I had a great time taking pictures along the way.It was a little cold without a jacket but man it was great to have a break in all the rain we’ve been having.

Now that I’ve found a little more balance in my life, I’m planning to start updating regularly again. I hope to see you around here!

Navy + White

Phew! My crazy work schedule seems to be calming down soon. Nothing like working all the time makes me realize the beauty of freedom and after work hours. I tend to let my after hours go by without paying too much attention to time. However, this crazy schedule made me realized how important after hours are to improve my life quality. That’s it! From now on, I’m all about having the best quality after hours!

Now, a little bit about this outfit! This outfit is probably one of the most basic and easy things to wear for dinner. I tend to avoid wearing a tie and button up shirts if I can help it at all. (I like being comfortable.) Yet, it’s still sharp enough to go to a nicer restaurant. 🙂

Ok! A few more busy days, and I’m off to California!!
